Bulguksa temple – This temple is popular among locals and foreigners due to its interesting history and you will learn the history behind it while walking around. Right before the entrance, you will see a track towards Seokgurum Grotto which will take 2km trail. Sukguram grotto – The path to the grotto is lined with Buddhist lanterns which you will love while walking. This grotto is a round-shaped hall with the statue of Buddha sitting on a lotus flower engraved in the stage. It said to be the one of the best cultural and historical site in South Korea. Donggung palace and Wolji pond – Donggung palace and Wolji pond is located in the historical city of Gyeongju. Namsan – Namsan in Gyeongju province has a beautiful pond named Seochulji with astonishing view. There is an old legendary story behind this pond which you will learn once you visit the place. Furthermore, every 15th day of the first full moon of every year, people began to hold a ritual that offers glutinous rice to the crows.
Gyeongju national museum – This museum is where you can learn the cultural history of Gyeongju district. Gyeongju National Museum exhibits the collection some of the valuable treasures of Silla Dynasty . Aside from these treasures, tourist can also enjoy the beautiful ancient Buddha relics.
